How does Rigevidon work?

The two active components of Rigevidon tablets are levonorgestrel and ethynylestradiol, which are synthetic forms of the female sex hormones progesterone and oestrogen.

Combination oral contraceptives, like Rigevidon, function by interfering with the regular menstrual cycle. Every month during a woman's menstrual cycle, her sex hormone levels fluctuate. During ovulation, hormones trigger the ovaries to release an egg, preparing the lining of the womb for the potential of pregnancy. If the egg is not fertilised at the conclusion of each menstrual cycle, the hormone levels drop, which results in the monthly menstrual period—the shedding of the uterine lining.

The hormone that the pill delivers on a daily basis primarily trick the body into thinking that ovulation has already taken place. This stops the egg from maturing and being released from the ovaries every month.

Hormones also cause the natural mucus at the neck of the womb to thicken, which hinders sperm from passing easily from the vagina into the womb and reaching an egg for fertilisation. The womb lining's quality is also altered by the hormones, which makes it less favourable for the implantation of a fertilised egg.

What advantages does utilising Rigevidon offer?

Rigevidon helps to avoid getting pregnant. The drug fools the body into thinking that ovulation has taken place by adding synthetic progesterone and oestrogen, which stops the ovaries from maturing and releasing an egg. Rigevidon works to thicken the natural mucus around the neck of the womb, which makes it harder for sperm to pass from the vagina into the womb, even in cases where an egg is fertilised and released by the ovaries.

How to take Rigevidon

Because each Rigevidon tablet has the same amount of hormones, it is monophasic. For 21 days, one Rigevidon tablet is taken every day, interspersed with seven days off from medication. Hormone levels in the blood will fall during the seven-day interval, causing withdrawal bleeding that resembles your regular menstrual cycle. When the seven days without pills are up, start the following pack even if you are still bleeding.

To make it easier to remember that you must take the tablets every day for the following three weeks, followed by a week off, they come in a calendar pack with the days of the week marked. As long as you take all of the pills as prescribed and begin taking the following packet of medications on schedule, you will remain protected from getting pregnant throughout the pill-free week.

Take the pill at the same time every day to help you remember to take it. It is recommended to take each Brevinor pill with a beverage. Rigevidon can be taken with or without food.

In order for the pill to prevent conception, you should begin taking it as soon as your monthly cycle begins. When taking Rigevidon, you are not need to take any other kind of birth control. If you begin taking the tablets on the fifth day of your period and have a very short menstrual cycle, you will not be protected against pregnancy.

If the doctor has good cause to believe you are not pregnant, you can begin taking this medication at any point during your pregnancy. You will not be protected from pregnancy if you start the pill at any other point in your cycle. After taking the pill for seven days, you may need to utilise other kinds of contraception, including a condom.

The 21st day after giving birth is when you can begin taking the pill if you are not breastfeeding. For the first seven days, use additional birth control, such as a condom.

You will be protected against after-mature miscarriages and abortions by starting the pill as soon as possible. pregnancy. For the first seven days after starting the pill more than seven days after an abortion or miscarriage, you should take additional contraception.

Even if you have to take two pills at once, take the missing pill as soon as you remember if you start the pack of pills one day later or forget to take a pill. Then proceed with taking the remaining pack in the prescribed order. You don't need to use additional contraception because you are still protected against getting pregnant.

You will not be protected against pregnancy if you start the fresh pack two or more days late, or if you neglect to take the two pills. You will need to take two tablets for the day: the pill for the day and the last pill you skipped. Put the other pill you missed out of your mind. After then, take the remaining medications in the pack on time. You should abstain from sexual activity and avoid using extra-barrier methods of contraception, such condoms.

After your final missed dose, if there are less than seven pills left in the pack, finish the pack and begin a new pack right away, skipping the seven-day pill-free days.

Within two hours of taking a tablet, vomiting may occur, which could prevent the medication from entering the bloodstream completely. As soon as you feel better, take another medication, and then take the following one at your regular time. You'll still be shielded from becoming pregnant.

You cannot get a sexually transmitted infection from rigevidon. To prevent sexually transmitted illnesses, you must use condoms.

First-time Rigevidon users may have menstrual irregularities such spotting, breakthrough bleeding, or missed periods. Should you continue to bleed, see your physician. Use a pregnancy test before to beginning the following month's contraceptive cycle if you have not experienced a withdrawal bleed for two consecutive months.

What is the proper Rigevidon dosage?

For three weeks, one tablet of rigevidon should be used every day. After that, one week should be spent without tablets. When the seven days have passed without taking any pills, begin the next box of Rigevidon.
